A national organizer aspirant in the just ended NDC national delegates congress, Henry Osei Akoto has praised the 2020 running mate of the party for showing strength during the parties national elections.
Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang arrived at the NDC’s national congress with the presumptive presidential candidate of the party, John Dramani Mahama in the morning of Saturday December 17.
While the congress advanced into the late hours of Saturday, many stalwarts of the party and dignitaries left to stretch out.
Ironically, the 2020 vice presidential candidate, Professor Naana Jane who clocked 71 years in November this year sat through the entire proceedings.
The educationist and politician was scene on the VIP stage throughout the dark hours of Saturday to the early hours of Sunday when voting ended and the winners were declared.
This resilience of the professor particularly caught the attention of the host of Pampaso on Radio Gold, Ransford Boakye who patted the back of the septuagenarian for her dedication to the work of the party.
The outspoken running radio host went ahead to caution the NDC against entertaining people and talks that the professor is too old to retain the running mate slot.
Reacting to the statements from the Pampaso host, Henry Osei Akoto tweeted that Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is exactly what the NDC deserves going into election 2024.
He added that the fact that she sat and burned the night to see to the conclusion of the congress is a show of strength and resilience.
