The NDC extends deadline for picking nomination forms.

The time for selecting nomination forms has been extended by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) by two days, until September 24.

The delay comes in response to “widespread worries from different sections of the country concerning the selection of nomination forms for the forthcoming Constituency elections.”

The party claimed that these issues have mostly dealt with the network and other difficulties with form downloads.

However, the party underlined that all other procedures on the approved party timeline for internal elections remain the same.

Elections at the constituency level will take place on October 22 and 23, regional elections will be held on November 12 and 13, and the national congress will be held on December 17.

The Functional Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has taken notice of widespread concerns from various parts of the country over the picking of nomination forms for the upcoming Constituency elections. These concerns have centered around the network and other challenges relative to the download of forms.

In view of this, FEC has effective today, extended the deadline for picking of nomination forms by an additional two days, to end on Saturday, 24th September, 2022. All other processes on the approved internal elections timetable of the party remains unchanged.

All Constituency Secretariates of the party should take note of this directive and comply accordingly.
