Report gathered by AfricaNewsArenaGh’s Adom Nanaa Odiasempa Savvy has it that, the Central Regional Police Command has apprehended the key suspect in the killing case at Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central region.
The suspect, Nana Clarke is said to be the Tufuhen of Ekumfi Akwakrom in the Ekumfi District of the Central region and the President of the Mankessim Traders’ Association.
Nana Clarke who has been allegedly accused of killing and burrying a 25-year-old nursing training student, Georgina Asor Botchwey in one of his rooms at Mankessim was arrested today, Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Ekumfi Akwakrom.
This was after extensive collaboration between the police and community search parties.
Police have already assured that they will continue to maintain law and order in the Mfantseman Municipality and surrounding communities after a string of killings.
Police have special purpose police intelligence and investigation teams working with members of the community.
The body of the 25-year-old girl has been exhumed and conveyed to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for autopsy and investigation.
