What you can’t do without a Ghana Card

As part of the government led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Bawumia’s efforts to digitize the economy of the nation, the Ghana Card rollout started in 2017.

The president said that the Ghana Card will make life easier after receiving a copy of his national identification card.

For all transactions requiring the identification of an individual, the card is to act as a special identifier.

It is a requirement of L.I. 2111 (2012), Act 750, that all Non-Citizens register.

The National Identification Authority (NIA) reported that 16.7 million cards had been issued since the roll-out program started, with roughly 800,000 still needing to be collected.

The Ghana Card has been difficult to obtain, and many people have complained that they enrolled but were unable to access their cards.

The fact that the Ghana Card is utilized for so many purposes and that some Ghanaians may suffer if they do not obtain their cards in a timely manner has made this situation even more concerning.
