We are grateful to God for a successful June 4th Anniversary -NDC Oti Region

The Oti Regional NDC hub on Saturday June 4th, held a unification of Thanksgiving for successfully celebrating the 43rd anniversary of June 4th event that took place at Oti Region precisely Nkwanta south.

The celebration which saw and attracted party big guns, sympathisers of the umbrella fraternity ardoned in beautiful party attires.

The Communications officer in the region, Mr Mobarak Diplomatic, implored followers and staunch members of the NDC family to give their unflinching support to recapture power come 2024.

He further admonished members of the Party remain faithful and uphold the core principles of the June 4 so as to serve with unending love and selflessness, adding that spirit of unity and humility should be the hallmark of the party going into 2024 elections.

In an exclusive interview with the media, Mr Mobarak Diplomatic appealed to NDC members to offer prayers for preserving the peace,unity during such important event.

He prayed to the almighty to imbue in the members of NDC the right spirit to lead the party to victory in the forthcoming 2024 polls.

This year’s June 4th took place at Oti Region.
The June 4th event was about values and principles and must be the core platform on which a greater and stronger nation-the cause of Justice, the cause of fairness and the cause of brotherhood.

The event in Oti Region saw high profile personalities from the rank and file of the party to commemorate the 43rd anniversary.
Personalities such as Proff Naana Opoku Agyeman, Running mate in the 2020 election, National Chairman of NDC, Hon.Chairman Ofosu Ampofo, General Secretary of NDC, Hon.Asiedu Nketiah, Hon.Peter Otukunor, Deputy General Secretary, Lawyer Edudzi Tamakloe, A Lawyer and a Communication member of National Democratic Congress and other important stakeholders were all present.

Some Regional Executives from Volta Region led Reg.Chairman Brigadier Henry Ametepe and his Secretary, Hon.James Gunu joined the Regional Executives of the host Region led by Hon.Gyapong Kudjo.
Also were Volta and Oti MPs caucus, Council of Elders in Oti Region,Cadres, Stakeholders,Police Service, Ex- Service men, Military, Fire Service personnel, Immigration service personnel.

After the health walk and the tree planting exercise led by Proff.Naana Opoku Agyemang, the June 4th event was followed.

The welcome address was given by the Host MP, Hon.Geoffrey Kini and followed by purpose of gathering from the Oti Regional Chairman, Hon.Gyapong Kudjo.

A general overview of June 4th was briefly presented by the MP for Krachi West, Hon.Helen Adwoa Ntoso.

A wreath laying ceremony was also observed in honor of the people of Ghana, Farmers and Fishermen, Security Services, Cadres, Chiefs and Traditional Authorities,Women and Youth and to the memory of the late Flt Lt.J.J Rawlings.

There was also a flag raising ceremony and speeches from the 2020 Running mate, General Mosquito, and National Chairman Ofosu Ampofo.

The program came to an end with a vote of thanks by Oti Regional Women Organizer followed by a closing prayer.
An exhibition of Art work also took place after the event.

The high profile delegation finally moved to the funeral ground to mourn with the family of the former and late Nkwanta South NDC Chairman, Mr John Yaw Mensah aka Nyame Nti as known in a transport industry and Yaw Koo as known in his normal and Political life.
A presentation and donation was made on behalf of the party to the family.

We thank all of you for making this year’s June 4th celebration successful and may the departed heroes and heroines rest well.
