E-LEVY will compound hardships on Ghanaians - Ivan Kyei Innocent

Government’s introduction of new taxes as was read by the Finance Minister has been met with mighty oppositions across the country. The minority in parliament is demanding a total scrap of the the newly introduced ‘17.5 percent E Levy’ .
In an interview we monitored on tv XYZ, Mr.Ivan Kyei Innocent who is Political Analyst, argued that it was improper for government to introduce the ‘E-Levy’ on Ghanaians.
According to him, the 2022 budget would impose hardship on Ghanaians. The columnist added that, ‘ no government will suddenly introduce a new tax without initially creating a conducive environment to boost individual businesses, what does this government have to show for all the taxes they have collected? he quizzed.
Parliament is on a tough journey to bring finality to the acceptance of the ‘E-Levy’ .
