Information emanating from the stables government has it that from the January next year, the Ghana police service will check the vaccination cards of all commercial drivers and motorbike riders as a means of ensuring that they have taken the COVID-19 Jab.
In furtherance, workers in all government institutions and health facilities will not be allowed into their offices if they do not show their vaccination certificates,while absenting yourself from work for this reason will amount to cessation one’s salary.
Moreover, students 15 years or above, not excluding teaching and non-teaching staff, of secondary and tertiary institutions are also expected to be vaccinated before the commencement of next academic year.
Patrons and workers of all restaurants, stadiums, beaches and night clubs are also to be vaccinated mandatorily and show proof of vaccination card before entry into such places.
The arrangements are part of a mandatory vaccination policy which commenced yesterday and is to be enforced in January next year, after the government had announced December a National Vaccination Month.
The mandatory vaccination policy will be broadened in phases to cover more groups based on information gathered from the pilot.
