Mr. Japhet Festus Gbede has told the newly confirmed Municipal Chief Executive of the Akatsi South Municipal Assembly not to follow the footsteps of his predecessors by making fancy excuses for economic problems in the Akatsi South constituency and to look for solutions within rather than blaming the past and unavailability of District Assembly Common Funds to champion the developmental agenda of the area.
Ahead of the confirmation of the President’s nominee for the Akatsi South Constituency, Mr. Martin Kofitsey Nyahe, The young and vibrant communicator said he has taken notice of the past MMDCEs that blamed underdevelopment of their constituencies on the unavailability of District Assembly Common Funds.
“It has been observed nationwide that most of the MMDCEs blame the underdevelopment of their various constituencies on the unavailability of District Assembly Common Funds and it is my utmost prayer that you don’t come and follow the footsteps of your predecessors,” part of his congratulations statement added.
The joy of the NPP in the Akatsi South Constituency wasn’t hidden when they heard the news of Hon. Martin Kofitsey Nyahe has been confirmed by the majority of the Assembly members of the Akatsi District Assembly as they jumped to the street to celebrate the much-awaited victory.
The members of the NPP in the Akatsi South Constituency according to information gathered have been subjected to cruel treatment and sidelining from the former MCE, Hon. Leo-Nelson Adzidogah that saw party people petitioning the president not to renominate him for the position.

I write to congratulate the President’s Nominee of the Akatsi South Municipal Assembly, Hon. Martin Kofitsey Nyahe on getting the nod to manning the affairs of the municipality.
It has been observed nationwide that most of the DCEs blame the underdevelopment of their various constituencies on the unavailability of District Assembly Common Funds and it is my utmost prayer that you don’t come and follow your predecessors.
We want to be seeing actions, the same energy you have been using for the Adonko and Bumamie adverts must be applied to the development of our dear Constituency.
