“Teenage Pregnancy Rate in the Central Region is Rising Up”- Bright Botchway Tells +video

Bright Botchway who is currently the Central Regional Deputy  Youth Organizer (Incharge of Operations) and the former communication officer for Gomoa East Const. from the National Democratic Congress has disclosed the high rate of teenage pregnancy in the Central Region.

Speaking on Accra 100.5FM morning show during a round table discussion on issues of the country, Bright Botchway explained that, the situation of teenage pregnancy has gone high in the Central Region in the past three (3) years.

” I have toured around the twenty- three (23) Constituencies in the Central Region,  the Upper Denkyira East and West, the three (3) Assins, Komenda, Cape Coast North and South,  Mfantseman, Ekumfi, Effutu, Agona West and East and many others. Looking from all  these Constituencies, teenage pregnancy has been very high from the past three years” He pointed.

According to the Deputy Youth Organiser (Incharge of Operations), the BECE, WAEC and illiterate teenagers are involved in this act of teenage pregnancy. He further hinted that the statistics keeps rising up.
